My favorite part in the John Adams movie is when George Washington was appointed general of the Continental Army. Besides this event being a turning point in history, I feel that Washington was the best leader that the colonists have ever seen. The scene took place in the 2nd Continental Congress in Pennsylvania. When he was appointed, he felt like he didn't deserve the honor. Besides Washington, the room was filled with other delegates from the other colonies. After seeing this movie, I look forward to visiting the spot where history changed forever.

My favorite part of the film was probably when the delegates from all the colonies joined at the Second Continental Congress and voted whether or not America should declare its independence. The congress met in Philadelphia. At first, the independence vote was 9-4. However John Adams didn't like it like that. He wanted every colony to vote for independence. He was able to persuade all the colonies to vote yes. The one person that there was trouble with was John Dickinson. He didn't want to vote against the British crown. So John Adams and Ben Franklin were able persuade him not to attend the vote, and just let Ben Franklin to vote for Pennsylvania. In the end, with all the delegates in the room with the exception of Dickinson, the right of independence won 12-0. New York was the only colony not to vote, because there were about 150 ships outside the New York harbor and the delegate didn't want to be responsible for any deaths. The very end of the scene may have stood out the most. After all the votes had been counted, there was a long silence, because the delegates were wondering if they had done the right thing. This in my opinion was a huge part of the film.

My favorite scene in the film was when the delegates decided that George Washington should be general of the Continental Army. This scene was my favorite because it showed how modest George Washington and why he should be elected the general of the Continental Army. John Adams was the delegate who nominated George Washington as general. George Washington’s reaction was modest and humble. He said that if it was okay with the delegates, he would accept the nomination. This scene was major because it showed how modest George Washington was but also how he was a good leader at the same time.

My favorite scene is when the representatives for the colonies agreed on breaking away from England. It was my favorite scene because it was such an emotional part in the film. It was emotional because once they agreed to break away, they knew that there was no turning back. The break would perhaps create a seperation from the family and friends they had in England. The representatives had no idea where this decision would lead. It was a major part in the film because it was the start of the Revolutionary War.

My favorite scene in the film was when John Adams left to go to the continental congress in Philadelphia. He was elected as a delegate and he had to go and leave his family behind to fend for themselves. I thought this was a particularly emotional scene because you could see the look of fear and sadness in the childrens eyes and saw them holding hands. John Adams did not want to leave his family but he thought that he had to go and that it was the right thing to do.

My favorite part of part 2 of the John Adams movie was when John Adams had to leave his family, it was so detailed and sad it was like i was actually there, i could feel the sadness and the feeling of John Adams family as he left. John Adamns and his family both knew however it was the right thing to do. It was sad, however he got appointed because everyone thought he could do the best job; he did not feel he deserved it and that he wouldn't do the best job, but his family believed in him and so did the people.

My favorite part of the film was when the representatives from each colony came together at the Second Continental Congress to vote whether or not to make America independent. This scene was my favorite because if this never happened we could have never came into existence. So this was an important part of history. In the First Continental Congress they voted, and the results were 9-4. They need all 13 colonies to agree in order to proceed with trying to separate from Britain. John Adams and Ben Franklin were trying to convince everyone to vote “yes”. One important person from this film was John Dickinson from New York because he thought the idea of separating was ridiculous. If he went to the meeting then it’s all over. John Adams somehow convinced him to not come because if he voted “no” for the idea of independence then they can’t go along with the plan. At the Second Continental Congress Dickinson never came and there was no vote for New York, so the overall vote tally was 12-0. After the voting ended there was a long silence because nobody knew what to do next. I think this was a major part of the film because this made our country into a free country.

A scene that really stuck out to me and is one of my favorite parts of the film was when all of the del agates that are representing voted "yes" to independence. It wasn't so easy at first, the majority of the congress didn't agree with the vote for independence. After voting that time, John Adams was unsettled with this decision, so he talked to the representatives. Following this there was another vote. This time, all twelve of the congress votes yes for America to have independence. This scene really stuck out to me because it was a turning point for our country. The congress at the time was un aware of what a great impact it would have for America. It is very interesting for me to realize how we structured America, and how this plays a role in our lives everyday.

My favorite scene in John Adams part 2 was the scene when all the colonies met in the second continental congress. The people in the congress met in Philadelphia. When America was trying to decide on wether they should declare their independence the first vote was 9 to 4. They realized if they were to successfully declare their independence they would need every colony to vote yes. Every colony voted yes by the time the second vote came except for one person John Dickinson. There are 13 colony is the states but the vote was 12 to 0. New York was the only colony to not vote. Then after all the colonies voted they sat in the room for a while in silence because they did not know what to do next.

My favorite part of the movie that John Adams starred in was, the part where you see the family going to a hill watching the soldiers hold off the British. From that scene you see loads of battleships and also cannon balls being fired to each of the opposing sides. The family sits and watches what goes on with pure shock on their faces, with fear on whether, or not our soldiers are going to be able to hold the British back. The following day, in the morning you see the soldiers coming back, many of them being very young. The reason why I liked this particular scene was because of the fact that when you saw the soldiers walking back with a victory, you saw many young faces among the crowd. The fact that young men were willing to give up their lives to protect what was rightfully theirs shows a lot of dignity in my opinion. It showed that they were willing to do whatever it took to keep their families safe from the British. They were brave enough to give up their young lives, that some didn't even get a chance to really live out. All and all, this film was a great one to watch, and it helped get a better understanding of what it was like back then.

My favorite scene from the film would have to be the court scene. I like this because there was so much emotion and it was so important. When John Adams gave his speech it felt so powerful and all the British men were cheering him on while the others were mad and felt like Adams was betraying his people. This scene makes up a huge part of the movie and history ! For example, if the british were charged guilty than the turnout would be so different.

My favorite part of the movies was when Washington was appointed the General of the Army. At first, Washington felt like he didn't deserve to be appointed General. This show his humility and what kind of man Washington really was. He agreed to being appointed as long as all the other delegates approved of it. This shows that he is not only deserving of this position, but that he cares of others' opinions.
