Post Civil War America (1865-1900) was on the brink of many changes. Perhaps the biggest role in changing America at this time was the rise of technology and new innovations. Industry will boom, people will migrate, and the economy will be forever influenced. One particular advancement, the transcontinental railroad, linked east to west and opened up numerous opportunities and

Ans 1. The 2 companies that built the Transcontinental Railroad are The Central Pacific and The Union Pacific
The Central Pacific started to build east from Sacramento whereas the Union Pacific started to build west from Omaha .
